THE FORGE Earns A+ CinemaScore and 99% Audience Score, Continuing Kendrick Brothers’ Winning Streak

AFFIRM Films has proudly announced that THE FORGE received an A+ CinemaScore, making it the fifth film from the Kendrick Brothers to reach this milestone. In addition to this, the movie boasts an impressive 99% on the Popcornmeter, a testament to its overwhelming audience approval. Directed by Alex Kendrick, this marks his fourth A+ as a director, solidifying his impact in faith-based cinema.

Opening strong, THE FORGE secured a spot in the top five at the box office in the United States, grossing $6.635 million in its opening weekend across over 1,800 locations. The film builds on the themes established by the Kendrick Brothers’ 2015 box office hit WAR ROOM, which reached the #1 spot during its second weekend. Critics are calling THE FORGE the brothers’ “most polished work” to date.

THE FORGE tells the powerful story of Isaiah Wright, a 19-year-old struggling to find direction in life after high school. With no job or plans, and at odds with his single mother, Isaiah is forced to make a life-changing decision. His journey is shaped by the prayers of his mother and the unexpected mentorship he finds at Moore Fitness, leading him to discover God’s greater purpose for his life. The film is rich in themes of faith, responsibility, and the power of prayer.

The film stars familiar faces like Priscilla Shirer, Cameron Arnett, and Karen Abercrombie, alongside newcomer Aspen Kennedy, and features the Kendrick Brothers’ signature storytelling style that weaves faith with compelling real-life challenges.

THE FORGE is directed by Alex Kendrick and produced by Stephen Kendrick, with the script written by both brothers. This film follows in the footsteps of their previous successes like SHOW ME THE FATHER, COURAGEOUS, WAR ROOM, and OVERCOMER, all of which have also earned A+ CinemaScores.

The Forge opens in the Philippines exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas on October 9.
